Garden waste includes grass cuttings, leaves, hedge trimmings, small branches, plants, bark, and soil (if not contaminated with rubble or plastics). Basically, anything natural that comes from your garden!
Yes, soil and turf are accepted — just make sure they’re free from bricks, hardcore, or other building materials. If you’re unsure, get in touch and we’ll guide you.
Only if the skip will be placed on a public road. If it's going on private land like your driveway or garden, no permit is needed. We can arrange permits for you if required.
For light garden clearances, a 4-yard skip is usually enough. Larger jobs like landscaping or tree removals may need a 6 or 8-yard skip. Use our postcode tool for tailored advice.
The standard skip hire period is 28 days, but we offer flexible hire durations to suit your needs. If you need a skip for longer, let us know when booking.

A bit of rain won’t hurt, but wet garden waste like soil or grass can become heavy quickly. Try to cover the skip with a tarpaulin if heavy rain is expected to avoid exceeding weight limits, especially with soil or turf.
